Audeze announced the release of Penrose wireless planar-magnetic gaming headphones designed specifically for Microsoft Xbox X and Sony PlayStation 5 gaming consoles.
American manufacturer of planar-magnetic headphones Audeze expands the range of models for gamers. Following the passive High End LCD-GX headphones and active Mobius with 3D sound, the release of wireless Penrose model was announced.
Headphones were designed specifically for use with Microsoft Xbox X gaming consoles and Sony PlayStation 5. For high-quality voice transmission in the model Penrose is responsible for the microphone on a flexible leg with a capsule professional class, and an effective acoustic filter that reduces external noise by 20 dB, provides the most clear and understandable sound of a player's speech in a chat or stream.
The headphones can be wirelessly connected to the USB port of the game console or computer using the included USB transmitter, which provides high quality communication with the headphones on the 2.4 GHz channel. This avoids time delays and provides the widest possible data transmission channel suitable for lossless sound quality and voice transmission.
The Bluetooth 5.0 module with support for SBC and AAC codecs is also available and can operate in parallel with the main communication channel. The main purpose of Bluetooth is to play music from mobile gadgets and manage headphone settings using the Audeze HQ application (available in PC and mobile versions).
