Master Collection series is the pinnacle of the brand's engineering art, and according to Karan Acoustics, every aspect of the devices in this series reflects the company's accumulated 30 years of knowledge and experience in designing and manufacturing high quality audio components.
The new LINEb preamplifier is the younger brother of the flagship model LINEa and has a single unit design. Karan Acoustics says that LINEb uses the same premium solutions, technologies and parts as the older LINEa two-block model. Most of these parts are made to order in accordance with Karan Acoustics specifications. Particular attention is paid to the topology and placement of printed circuit boards inside the body - this is done to reduce the negative mechanical side effects.
The preamplifier is built on the principle of double mono and received 3 completely independent power sources (for each channel and for control boards), as well as a solid battery of power filter capacity. As a volume control is used four-channel balanced attenuator for 64 positions with ultra-fast relays and custom non-magnetic resistors. The internal wiring is made with cables from Cardas Audio.
The body of the original design is assembled of massive panels made of special ultra-high quality aluminum, which, according to Karan Acoustics, allows you to achieve the best acoustic properties and the lowest sensitivity to radio frequency and electromagnetic effects in the circuits.
Laser cutting is used in the manufacture of the body, the top cover has a large embossed company logo and complex perforation.
As with all devices in the Master Collection series, the LINEb preamplifier is equipped with support legs from Critical Mass Systems - in the case of the preamplifier it is CS2-1.0 model.
It should be added that LINEb received a remote control in the original round case, whose design is made in the same style of Master Collection components.
Karan Acoustics LINEb has four XLR balanced inputs and two RCA inputs. The device features two XLR outputs.
