Like all the company's loudspeakers, Davis Acoustics Courbet3 is manufactured entirely in its own factory in France, meaning that there's always the opportunity to experiment to create unique speakers for specific models. For example, the TW28LD tweeter was created specifically for the Courbet range.
The tweeter features a 28 mm fabric cone dome impregnated with damping and a reinforced magnetic system with air ducts to cool the voice coil. The tweeter has a small tapering waveguide designed to suppress resonance peaks. The midrange driver, which is 13 cm in size, is traditionally made of Kevlar. It is a versatile material - it is not only sturdy, but also lightweight. The speaker enclosures are made of thick MDF with spacers inside, with no tapping.
Royal lacquer always looks very beautiful, but it also requires a certain amount of care, so the Courbet 3 speakers from the French company Davis Acoustics will have to be treated with special care. However, those who do not want to bother, are offered a white matt lacquer finish, and soon these speakers will be available in a veneer of red moss and dark walnut.
When you're listening to music, it's important that the sound from all the speakers reaches the listener's ears at the same time, because even the slightest bass lag, such as when hitting a barrel, we immediately notice the falseness of the sound. The easiest solution to this problem is the correct distance from the listener, so all Courbet Series systems, from the shelf to the floor speakers, have a tilting front panel.
We liked the pedigree of these loudspeakers. With good detail, it has natural timbres and an extensive stage. Courbet 3 handles heavy music as well as classics, vocal and instrumental jazz compositions equally well. Watch the clip further to see for yourself.
