Конечно ещё связка Joy Division-New Order тоже хороша. Talking Heads-некоторые альбомы. К изданию прилагается книжка-буклет с полезной инфой о записи, весьма занимательной, поэтому буду ещё к ней возвращаться, а пока выборочно по трекам: OMD "Electricity" (Factory version) - самая первая версия сингла "Elecrticity" 1979, записанная на Factory буквально через несколько месяцев после создания группы. The session was difficult. Andy McCluskey later told John Cooper: "Hannett was weird and scared the hell out of us. At one point he just climbed under the desk and went to sleep. We hated both the versions that were done. It took me to get my head around it." The version of "Electricity" released as Fac 6 was in fact the original demo, though the Hannett mix was used for the reissue on DinDisk. Reviews were glowing ("excellent, melodic, synthesizer pop" - NME), the music equalled by a classic Saville sleeve: late period Tschichold type printed in black thermographic ink on a dark background, emulated braille. OMD signed to DinDisc in September with with Factory's blessing and support; Saville joined DinDisc as in-house designer. Это могут быть не обязательно альбомы 1980 года, время когда вы их услышали тоже не принципиально. Интересуют чисто субъективные ощущения начала 80-х в музыке Начало new wave совпало с закатом disco.
