Fyne Audio loudspeakers appeared on the market only in 2018. But do not underestimate the products of this brand, as the company was founded by talented people from Tannoy Audio, which apparently allowed them to immediately break into the Hi-End segment.
A logical extension of the F501 was the F501SP (Special Production) floor standing loudspeaker. But this is not a simple decorative upgrade, but in fact a completely new device, which has only the basic architecture of its predecessor. But all the stuffing has already been borrowed from the higher-end F700 series, which couldn't help but affect the sound quality. It should be noted that moving to a simpler enclosure has significantly reduced the cost, the difference with a more famous colleague is more than 50%.
The loudspeaker is based on an IsoFlare coaxial loudspeaker consisting of a 25 mm compression magnesium tweeter and a 150 mm bass/midrange driver with FyneFlute roller suspension. The bass driver is also paired with it, with sensitivity of up to 91dB and a peak power of 180W. Thanks to this, the speakers work perfectly when connected to both low-power tube amplifiers and modern solid state equipment.
The BassTrax Tractrix, a downstream phase-inverter port that operates freely at the lower limit of 36 Hz, also played a role in the reproduction of the low frequency range. Compared to the previous version, the F501SP offers a fully grown-up, yet delicate, sound. And the clarity, realism and dynamics of its playback have taken it to a whole new level. We are confident that this series of loudspeakers will find its buyer and be in demand.
