The Scottish company Atlas Cables is considered one of the recognised leaders among cable manufacturers. And it produces a fairly large range of products in both the budget and Hi-End classes. It is in the premium category that the brand's next novelties - the RCA and Z achromatic plugs, as well as the Element Achromatic RCA interblock cable with lengths from 0.5 to 3 meters, are included.
The name of the series itself refers to claims for high quality signal transmission; Achromatic means "colourless" or, more precisely, " uncoloured". In other words, plugs of this class will not bring any changes to the transmitted signal, nor will they add any extraneous colouring. Knowing the reputation of Atlas Cables, it is safe to say that they will achieve a positive result.
RCA connectors are used for interblocking equipment, while the Z-connector will definitely be used to complete speaker cables. Both series are characterised by the implementation of the weight reduction concept, with 8 and 30% reductions respectively. The traditional solder-free connection system through crimping (cold welding) has also not become a novelty. This approach, together with improved contact geometry, made it possible to ensure that the signal is transmitted without any foreign matter.
It should be noted that connectors of these types will now be used on all cable products of the brand and will replace Integra connectors, and the new Element Achromatic RCA interconnector is already equipped with them. It should be noted that the cable is based on OSS copper with unique purity of metal, which provides unique characteristics of conductors.
