Henk, I am not very experienced in using russian DAC's, but I'll try

to describe my opinion on this subject. We DO have some interesting

DAC's, but most of them are custom made and are not available as a

commercial product. Chinese made unprofitable low cost production in

the entry level (even with their poor sound and quality)and ebay

seriously affect middle and top level. I have late eighties professional

japanese DAC bought on ebay and am fully satisfied with it.

Is you own hardware described on your blog anywhere?

In The Netherlands we have a company who use industrial /DAC chips. Metrum Acoustics - Hex : http://songstreaming.wordpress.com/category/metrum-acoustics-hex/

They use 16x DAC chips ( 8x per channel)

The brand and type are secret.

Yes I know the article of 6 moons. Very important for your sales. If 6 moons mention your name with a good review the sales are increasing

I heard from Metrum that the sales are very well.

If you like to go to the international market , you must have an english website or even an webshop. Till now I found the webside of Markan the best. So i started with their DAC at first. For the other Russian DAC's it is more work to find the specifications and get good pictures

Yes that is right.

Remember if there is no review , the DAC is not good enough or never tested by a reviewer. You will never see a negative review. Alway read between the lines

Not sure if it's a good thing. I personally find most of their reviews to be extremely long-winded for no good reason and using the most vague terms when it comes to actually describing the sound. I wouldn't buy anything after reading just the 6moons review.

I agree

the best test is a comparison between many DAC's by using a double blind test. You seldom read these reviews. But most important is testing the DAC in your own audio set.

6 moons is like every source of audio review, it is searching for author`s point-of-view research for new audio equipment (that`s prepaid generally). What`s I`m enjoying in this reviews is just a comparison between more or less known DACs.

I was searching on the internet and saw some pictures of DAC's . mostly these pictures links to a webside or in this case a forum. With the help of the google translater i could read many of the forum treads. So it started.

There is a big difference between Russia and The Netherlands. We have many hi-end audio shops ( > 200 ) They sell many brands. Mostly from USA , UK , Japan , France , Germany etc. but nothing from Russia. So for me it is interesting to see so many Russian Companies. I think it is nice to have them on my website. I see visitors on my site from all over the world. I am also a member of a Dutch audio club. We organize every month a demonstration. With the help of an audio dealer or distributor we always have a nice evening. Here is our website maybe you can translate it a bit :
